ABOUT

Olga is an artist and illustrator from Sydney, Australia. Her works are influenced by Impressionists and Post-Impressionist artists such as Klimt and Van Gogh, Gauguin and Peploe, Matisse and Derain, Delaunay and Metzinger, N.Goncharova and Lentulov. “Most of the art styles, living artists are using today, have been introduced in the late 19th and the early 20th centuries. We are lucky to be able to explore and develop our rich heritage and apply elements of many styles in our works to create something new, original and exiting.”

Olga brings contemporary twist into still life, flower, animal & human portraits and landscapes. All her works mirror her feeling of a space, objects in that space and colour combination.

“I would call myself a Colourist, an artist who loves to paint with powerful intense colours to describe objects, their tonal values and forms. I want to use colours, lines and light in my paintings without any limitation, to feel free to bend some rules to add an interest to a painting.”

“Live on the bright side” is my motto. We are surrounded with neutral white, grey and cement colours of the interiors. A painting is a window into another world. If you hang a bright painting on the wall I can guarantee that your morning will start on a cheerful note as well as your day.”

She began to draw and paint when she was a child. Later, she worked in science and sales & marketing but never stopped being interested in art. When she picked up her brushes again, Olga felt like she never ceased to paint.

As a self-taught artist her approach is to learn something new every day, keep exploring painting media & techniques and to practice more. She enjoys painting with acrylics, watercolours and in mix media.

Olga loves Australian birds and flowers. Australiana Series is a big part of her portfolio. Cockatoos, lorikeets and other birds who live on her backyard are basically her visiting pets and part of the family.

She exhibits and sells her works in the Art Gallery Kurnell, art galleries and shows around Sydney.

Her paintings live happily in homes of her friends and clients in Germany, Singapore, Japan, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, England, the US and many other countries.
